Invest in Masshouse

The apartments at Masshouse have been a big hit with investors who have tapped into a ready pool of city centre rental tenants.

Arkade Property is a residential sales and lettings agents based in Branston Street in the Birmingham city centre. It was instructed to let approximately 50 of the first phase apartments at Masshouse on behalf of buy to let investors.

Director Andrew Kay said: "From the outset, the Arkade team received more enquiries for the Masshouse apartments than any other residential scheme in Birmingham, and on a daily basis we have prospective tenants contacting the office and specifically requesting apartments at Masshouse. Subsequently, all the properties under our management are currently let.

"Several factors have been behind the appeal of the apartments in the competitive private rental market, with the location of Masshouse being a huge plus in terms of attracting tenants. The city's traditional business district, the flagship Bullring and Moor Street Train Station are all just a short walk away. With Matthew Boulton College, The Children's Hospital and Aston University campus all on the doorstep, it is no surprise that we have let a substantial proportion of apartments to doctors, lecturers and other professionals.

The second phase of apartments at Masshouse is now under construction. With completion scheduled for late 2009 on this neighbouring 14-storey building, many investors have already recognised the potential of the apartments and a third of the properties have been reserved.
